6x^2+2x+3x+1=

2x(3x+1)+1(3x+1)

(3x+1) (2x+1)

The answer is (3x + 1)(2x + 1)

Since the constant is 1 you find the factors of the leading coefficient, 6 that have a sum of 5. The numbers 3 and 2 fit the bill. I hope that helps.
