Hi!

Let's simplify by combining like terms:

\implies\boldsymbol{10x-12y+8+12y}

The like terms here are the y's, so we combine them:

\implies\boldsymbol{10x-12y+12y+8}

Notice how the -12y and 12y cancel out:

\implies\boldsymbol{10x+8}

Voila! There's our solution.

Have a nice day!

I hope that helped & made sense.
