Answer:

The sun is what causes the water cycle work. The sun contributes what about everything on Earth requires to go—energy, or heat. Heat begins liquid and chilled water to dissolve into water vapour gas, which uprises high in the sky to produce clouds. Clouds that move over the globe and drop rain and snow. This method is a large portion of the water cycle.

The water cycle ensures that we have water available by two major processes driven by the sun: Condensation and Evaporation.

When surface water is heated up by the sun, it evaporates into the atmosphere, and subsequently condenses into water droplets, which eventually precipitates as rain, sleet, hail or snow. This ensures that freshwater is always available for the use of living organisms.
