What are different ways of finding the area of a rectangle

One way to calculate the area of a rectangle is to multiply the width by the length. Therefore:

A=w×l

Another way to find the area of a rectangle is by multiplying the base by the height. The formula would then look like the following:

A=b×h

**The unit of measure must be written in square units. So the area wouldn't just be 24 meters, but 24 meters squared or 24 m².

Multiply the length [in feet] times the width [in feet] and then the answer would be the total square footage.
