DB is the hypotenuse of a triangle formed by BCD.

Using the Pythagorean theorem you can find the length of DB

15^2 + 8^2 = DB^2

225 + 64 = DB^2

289 = DB^2

DB = √289

DB = 17


The answer is D. 17 m
