Area of a trapezoid = h/2 ( a + b) where h = height and a and b are the lengths of the 2 parallel sides.

So here we have

Area = 12/2 ( 18 + 23)

= 246 in^2 Answer

ii . volume of a sphere = 4/3 pi r^3 so

1436.03 = 4/3 pi r^3

r^3 = 1436.03 / (4/3 * pi) = 342.827

r = cube root of 342.827 = 7.0 m Answer
