Explanation:

$6x + 8y = - 2 \\$

B is a multiple of A

$3x + 4y = - 1 \\ if \: multiplied \: by \: 2 \\ = 6x + 4y = - 2$

and since the two systems A and B

have

2x + y = 5

then the two systems have the same solution
