HELP ASAP

why do you suppose the u.s. still uses the english system for everyday measurements, while almost every other country uses the SI? Give several possible reasons.

i would think it would be because 1- it would be hard to change all the measurements on different sites.
2- everyone in the U.S is used to this system so it would be stupid to change.
3- it would be hard to learn a new system.
