The best answer here seems to be a).

Odysseus has demonstrated his courage in having approached such wicked beings as Polyphemus and the word guileful (‘marked by skill in deception’) also describes him well. One example of him showing guilefulness is when he tricked Polyphemus by saying he was “nobody”.
