HELP PLEASE

Write an equation of a line perpendicular to line CD below in slope-intercept form that passes through the point (−1, 6). Line CD is shown. C is at 1, 1. D is at 3, 5.
A) y = −0.5x − 5.5
B) y = −0.5x + 5.5
C) y = 2x + 13
D) y = 2x − 13

Answer:

I don't know but I am pretty sure it can't be C or D.

Explanation:

The slope of line CD simplifies to 2, so for the perpendicular line to be perpendicular, it must be an opposite reciprocal, meaning -1/2 or -0.5. I don't know what B equals though, whether it is positive or negative.
