The formula for speed is given by:

speed = (distance)/(time)

speed is product of distance and time.

We are given distance as 4 kilometers and time is 30 minutes.

plugging these values in the formula given above we have,

speed = (4)/(30)

dividing 4 by 30 we have 0.133

so average speed is 0.133 kilometer per minutes.

We can also convert kilometers to meters as follows:

1km =1000 m

so 4 km =4*1000 = 4000 m

Also we have 1 minute = 60 seconds

so 30 minutes = 30 *60 = 1800 seconds.

so speed = 4000/ 1800 = 2.22 m / second.

Answer:

Average speed is 0.133 km/min or 2.22 m/sec.
