How do y'all substract negative number wen substracting

It depends how you are subtracting...

Explanation:

If you are subtracting like this; -30-20....it is basically addition but backwards. So what I would do is first add the two numbers and then add a negative symbol.

However, if I am solving a problem like this:

-30-(-40)...I would convert it into

-30+40

because when ever you have 2 negatives...they become a positive! So now I know that my answer would be 10 because if you rearrange it...you would get,

40-30=?

This is how you subtract negatives!

Suppose the equation went like this
-12 -24= x
You would essentially just add them together and put a negative sign in front of it so the answer would be -36. But once you start dealing with parentheses and brackets it get more complicated than that. Comment if you have any more questions :)
