"20:35 = 16: blank" This was my home work today (not all of it.duh). It would really help me out if someone could answer this. Thank you!!

Looks as tho' we have an equation of ratios here. It may be a bit clearer if we write this equation as follows:

20 16

----- = -------

35 x

Then 20x = 560, and solving for x results in x = 28.

'28' goes into that blank spot!
