The answer to your question is w= 15 because you multiply both sides of the equation by 3 in order to single out the w and you would get 15.

Isolate the w

w/3 = 5

Note the equal sign. What you do to one side, you do to the other.

Multiply 3 to both sides

w/3(3) = 5(3)

w = 5(3)

Multiply

w = 15

15 is your answer for w
