Which text from "After Twenty Years" provides the best evidence that “Silky Bob” is surprised that his friend is now a policeman?

"'You're not Jimmy Wells,' he snapped."

"'Is that you, Bob?’ he asked, doubtfully."

"'You’ve changed lots, Jimmy. I never thought you were so tall by two or three inches.'"

"His hand was steady when he began to read, but it trembled a little by the time he had finished."

The answer is: "'You’ve changed lots, Jimmy. I never thought you were so tall by two or three inches.'"

The statement itself contains the evidence. By admitting his awe that Jimmy has changed a lot, it implies that he is surprised at what his friend has become. Primarily due to his appearance. In this statement, he pinpointed the change in his height.

I know this was asked almost a month ago but for any other students that search this in the future, the answer is actually "His hand was steady when he began to read, but it trembled a little by the time he had finished." I just finished the test and got this one wrong, but it told me the correct answer and this is it :)
