In the late Paleolithic era, the advancements and developments that the hominids made was the ideas of tools use for hunting where they develop flaking as their first technology. Flaking involves the use of hammer stone to form an object with sharp edges like spear and arrow tips as to hunt prey.

By then, they learn the skills of cooking, the making of fire and shelter. In addition, another development was language where it was depicted in their cultural artifacts.
