Limiting reactant is the one that is totally consumed in a chemical reaction when the reaction is complete. Or is the one that when finishes , reaction stops. When limiting reactant is consumed, no more product formation will takes place, whether we added more of reactant, no more product formation will be there if limiting reactant is consumed.
So in this case too, if more of the limiting reactant is added, that the reaction stops then if more of the excess reactant is added, then also no more formation of product takes place as limiting reactant is added in excess then all the product formation takes place and after that reaction stops and if after that any more reactant is added , no more formation of product takes places.
