A poll was conducted in states A, B, and C to determine which candidate voters would most likely vote for. The results are displayed in the table below: State A State B State C Total Liberal 16 23 10 49 Conservative 24 12 15 51 Total 40 35 25 100 What is P(conservative | State A)

I'm sorry, I didn't fully understand your question, but if it is What is the percent of liberal in State B the answer is 60%

x% * 35 = 21

x/100 * 35 = 21

35x/100 = 21

35x = 2100

x = 2100/35

x = 60

or 60 %

Answer: P(conservative | State A) = 0.6.

Explanation:

Since we have given that

State A State B State C Total

Total liberal 16 23 10 49

Conservative 24 12 15 51

Total 40 35 25 100

We need to find P(conservative | State A).

So, we will use "Conditional probability":

P(conservative\mid State A)=( P(conservative\cap State A))/(P(State\ A))\\\\ P(conservative\mid State A)=(24)/(40)\\\\ P(conservative\mid State A)=0.6

Hence, P(conservative | State A) = 0.6.
