The Soup Shack usually makes tomato soup with 9 tomatoes for every 12 cups of soup. Today, they made 8 cups of soup with 6 tomatoes. How does today's soup compare to the usual recipe? Answer: they will taste the same.

Explanation:

"9 Tomatoes for every 12 cups of soup" is what they said. Then they said "Today they made 8 cups of soup with 6 tomatoes." There is a 3 number difference in all of the number of you line them up. So if you add three tomatoes to Today's soup and 3 more cups of soup to today's recipe. You would get 9:12 which is what we are looking for. The same tomato soup as usual. No changes at all. So the answer is They will tast the same.

9 tomatoes in 12 cups of soup = 9/12 = 3/4
6 tomatoes in 8 cups of soup = 6/8 = 3/4
they both have 3 tomatoes for every 4 cups of soup, so they will taste exactly the same - Choice C.
