Find tha area of large and small squares:

A_(large)=15.2\cdot 15.2=231.04,\\ A_(small)=5.98\cdot 5.98=35.7604.

The shaded region has area
A_(shaded)=A_(large)-A_(small)=231.04-35.7604=195.2796.

Use the geometric probability to determine the probability that randomly selected point will be in the shaded region:

Pr=(A_(shaded))/(A_(large))=(195.2796)/(231.04)= 0.8452.

In percent 0.8452 is 84.52%. Round 84.52% to the nearest tenth and get 84.5%.

Answer: 84.5%
