9(2+x)=10(7+x)

Use distributive property: a(b + c) = ab + ac

$(9)(2)+(9)(x)=(10)(7)+(10)(x)\\\\18+9x=70+10x\ \ \ \ |-18\\\\9x=52+10x\ \ \ \ |-10x\\\\-x=52\to x=-52$

Answer: -52 In a fraction? OK:
$-(52)/(1),\ -(104)/(2),\ -(156)/(3),\ ...$
