How to find the side of a square if you have the area.

Hello,

To find the side of a square by knowing the square root, calculate the square root of the area.

The square of the length of the side = area of a square.

So the side is the square root of the area.

For example if the area is 16cm^2 the length of the side = sqrt 16 = 4 cms.
