Tom rolls a number cube twice. What is the probability that the sum of the 2 rolls is less than 9, given that the first roll is a 6?

I'm between 1/3 & 2/3

Knowing that the first roll is a 6, we basically just need to find the probability of the dice getting a 2 or under.

Because a number cube has 6 sides, the probability of rolling a 2 or under is 2/6, or 1/3.

The probability is 1/3.
