Hey there!

Twice: 2 \\ Number: x \\ plus: + \\ is: = (equal) \\ twelve: 12 \\ So, 2x + 6 = 12 (answer)

It can't be:

(1)/(2) x + 6 = 12 because, its not asking half of a number plus six is twelve

2x -6 = 12 because its not asking twice a number minus six is twelve

3x + 6 = 12 because its not asking three times a number plus 6 is twelve

(So,
A,B,D would most likely be incorrect since they aren't doing anything with the representation!)

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
◦ But the answer is:
2x + 6 = 12 (B) because it is stating what is representing in this equation sentence!
Good luck on your assignment and enjoy your day!
