If the moles and temperature of a gas are held constant, the pressure of a gas doubles when:

For ideal gases we have PV= const, when nand T are constant.

P1V1=P2V2

If P2 = 2P1

P1V1=2P1V2

V2=(P1V1)/(2P1)

V2 = V1/2

Answer A. Volume is halved.
