How did conditions in the new world transform the traditional character of the slave trade?

Basically the new world opened up the ''triangle trade''whereby slaves were shipped to Caribbean to work on sugar plantation ,the sugar would later on be taken to North America for processing ,then the end product was sent to Britain to be sold .Income acquired would be sent to Africa to acquire more slaves creating the triangle trade.

The New World influenced and changed the way that slave trades were done. In first place, slavery in Africa was product of punishment because of some hard crime you committed, like murder. But, with the New World demand, slaves were sold to shipping, and a market was born there.
