(5n² + 7n) - (7n² + 8n )

Combine like terms. Like terms have the same variables and exponents. In this case, the like terms are 5n² - 7n² and 7n - 8n.

\boxed {-2n^2 - n }is your answer.

we have given

(5n^2+7n)-(7n^2+8n).

we need to find the difference between two terms .
(5n^2+7n)-(7n^2+8n)=5n^2+7n-7n^2-8n=5n^2-7n^2+7n-8n

-2n^2-n=-n(2n+1).

here we have find the difference and taken out n as common

and rewritten the expression.
