Can someone interpret therese sentences in there own words( from the book: hour of the bees) if you know any other good direct quotes from this book, please tell me then, and the pg number.

This quote expresses how uncomfortable the author is ("TOO" close) and emphasises that by saying it's buzz is the 'only' noise in "the author's world".
