After school Jake walks his dog around the perimeter of the dog park. the park is a square with a side length of 450 feet. What is the perimeter of the park in yards?

The perimeter of the park is 4*450 ft since a square has 4 equal length sides or 1800 ft. Since the question asks for the unit to be in yards, we need to convert from feet to yards. There are 3 feet in a yard so we divide the number of ft by 3 to get 600 yards.
