Rational numbers are numbers that have an ending to them or repeat themselves, such as 0.675 or 0.
\overline {66}. Irrational numbers are numbers that have no ending and don't repeat themselves, such as pi.

____________________________________________________________

1) m = 2/3 = 0.
\overline {66}, n = √9 = 3

so 1 cannot be a choice.

2) m = 6/5 = 1.2, n = √2 = 1.41421356237...

so 2 can be a choice.

3) m = 4
\pi = 12.5663706..., n = √5 = 2.2360679775...

so 3 cannot be a choice.

4) m = 6/2 = 3 (whole number, not rational), n =
\pi /2 = 1.57079633...

so 4 cannot be a choice.

Answer:

\boxed {2)~ m = 6/5, ~n = \sqrt 2}

6/5 is equal to 1.2, so that is a rational number.

√2 is equal to 1.570796326794 ... which is a irrational number.

so ur answer would be the top right answer choice.

hope i helped:)
