Given a normal distribution with mean 120 and standard deviation 5.

We have to find number of standard deviations the measurement 134.9 is from the mean . For that we have to find z score corresponding to 134.9

The formula to find z score is

Z =
(x - mean)/(standard deviation)

=
(134.9 - 120)/(5)

= 2.98

The measurement 134.9 is 2.98 standard deviation from mean
