A carpenter is framing a window with wood trim where the length of the window is 623 feet. If the width of the window is 734 feet, how many feet of the wood is needed to frame the window?

We know that

shape of window will be rectangular in shape

we have

length of window =l=623 feet

width of window=w=734 feet

we have to find perimeter of rectangle to get amount of wood needed

so,


perimeter=2(l+w)

now, we can plug it


perimeter=2(623+734)


perimeter=2714feet

So, the wood needed to frame the window is 2714 feet........Answer
