A diameter is twice as much as a radius. So in this case you divide the diameter by 2 which then becomes 8. Then the formula of a circle is 2(pi)(R) = approximately 50.27 ft

Since the garden is circular, you will have to find the area of a circle. The formula is:

\pi * r^(2)

The diameter is 16 feet. Radius is ½ of the diameter. To find the radius, divide the diameter by 2.

d = 16 \\ 16 / 2 = 8 \\ \\ r = 8

Square the radius

r = 8 \\ 8^(2) = 8 * 8 = 64

Multiply by π(3.14)

64 * 3.14 = 200.96

The area of the garden is 200.96 feet
