A certain drug is made from only two ingredients: compound A and compound B. There are 2 milliliters of compound A used for every 3 milliliters of compound B. If a chemist uses 228 milliliters of compound B, how many milliliters of the drug will be made?

Alright, lets get started.

We have given that, 2 milliliters of compound A used for every 3 milliliters of compound B.

Means 3 mls of compound B is used for 2 mls of compound A.

Means 1 ml of compound B is used for
(2)/(3) mls of compound A.

Means 228 mls of compound B is used for
(2)/(3) * 228 mls of compound A.

Solving
(2)/(3) * 228

152 mls

It means for 228 mls of compound B is used for 152 mls of compound A.

Total drug will be adition of compound A and B.

Hence total drug will be =
228 + 152 = 380 mls : Answer
