The arena's merchandise department calculates total profit on an item using this formula:

t = n ( p - c)

• t is total profit in pounds
• n is the number of items sold
• p is the price the item is sold for
• c is the cost of the item for.the arena to buy

Work out t when n is 35, p is £10 and c is £2.50

Here we are given all the values for n , p and c which are

n=35, p=£10 and c = £2.50

We need to plug these value in the given formula to get the value of total profit t which in pounds,

t = n ( p - c)

So plugging the given values in the above equation,

t = 35( 10 - 2.50)

Subtracting 10-2.50 using pemdas rule,

t = 35( 7.5)

Answer:

t = 262.5
