Overload refers to the amount of greater load or resistance on the body than it is normally accustomed to in order to increase fitness.

This is not recommended as you might damage up your muscle. Infact whats recommended is that you increase the repetition per set or do it with varying weights and change the type of exercise frequently in order to make the work out more intense and hence, increase fitness.
