we are given


8+2(12-5)

we can use

P: Parenthesis

E:Exponent

M: Multiplication

D: Division

A: Addition

S: Subtraction

so, firstly we will find parenthesis value


=8+2*7

now, we can multiply


=8+14

now, we can add


=22............Answer

We will be using PEMDAS rule here :

P - Parentheses first

E - Exponents (ie Powers and Square Roots, etc.)

MD - Multiplication and Division (left-to-right)

AS - Addition and Subtraction (left-to-right)

8+2(12-5)

Step 1:

Solving parenthesis first:

8+2(7)

Step 2:

Multiplying 2*7

8+14

Step 3:

Adding 8 and 14

22

Answer is 22
