Diagonals of a parallelogram are congruent and bisect each other.

Since they intersect at point E, AE must be congruent to CE and BE must be congruent to DE.

AE = CE

2x = x + 2

Subtract x from both sides.

x = 2

D) 2

In a parallelogram, the diagonals bisect each other. That makes segments AE and CE congruent.

AE = CE

2x = x + 2

x = 2
