You're telling us that . . . . . 2x + 6 = 6x + 2

Subtract 2 from each side . . . 2x + 4 = 6x

Subtract 2x from each side . . . 4 = 4x

Divide each side by 4 . . . . . 1 = x

It would end up being 4=4x so
