So remember that the slope formula is
(y_2-y_1)/(x_2-x_1), and the 2 coordinates that are given to us are (2,0) and (0,-4).

Using these two points, either
(-4-0)/(0-2) or
(0-(-4))/(2-0) is acceptable.

we Know that

The formula to calculate the slope between two points is equal to

m=(y2-y1)/(x2-x1)

Let

A(0,-4)\ B(2,0)

substitute the values in the formula

m=(0-(-4))/(2-0)

m=(0+4)/(2-0)

m=(4)/(2)=2

therefore

the answer is the option

(-4-0)/(0-2)
