Imagism supported the need for a concise and clear poetic language. The adoption of free verse made imagery poetry much more similar to prose and the language, ever closer to that spoken in everyday life.

Imagism supported the need for a concise and clear poetic language. This Poem is Clear an Concise. Based on the precision and immediacy with which the images are presented. The narrative does not follow a chronological thread. The adoption of free verse made imagery poetry much more similar to prose and the language, ever closer to that spoken in everyday life.
