If this is the original question, 12x + 2y = -8, you first need to move x to the right like so ----- 12x + 2y = -8

-12x - 12x

Leaving you with 2y = -12x -8. Then dived both sides by the Y coefficient ---------- 2y = -12x -8

/ 2 /2 /2

For the final answer---- Y = -6x -4

For question 2- Just take M from the top and put it in there ------- -6
