Here,

a-b=14

ab=8

we know that,

\tt{(a-b)^2=a^2+b^2-2ab }

According to the question,

\tt{ (14)^2=a^2+b^2-2×8 }

\tt{196=a^2+b^2-16 }

\tt{a^2+b^2=196-16 }

\tt{a^2+b^2=180 }
