since we know the diameter of the cone is 6 inches, then its radius must be half that, namely 3 inches.

we are given

diameter=6inches

we know that

diameter=2*radius

so, we get

radius=r=3inch

height=h=7inch

now, we can use cone volume formula

V=(1)/(3) \pi r^2h

we can plug r and h

and we get

V=(1)/(3) \pi (3)^2(7)

Volume= 65.97345 inch^3..............Answer
