Quizle here, we see convergence between oceanic and continental plates. we also see convergence between 2 continental plates. when oceanic and continental lithosphere meet (or converge), which plate will subduct and why?

When it is a oceanic-continential plate convergence, it would be the oceanic plate that subduct.

Although the oceanic plate is thinner,it is denser than a continential plate. Therefore it would subduct under the less dense continential plate.
