The nth term is given as 4n-3

If 75 a term of this sequence then 4n-3=75

Now we solve for n

To solve for n we add 3 both sides

4n-3+3=75+3

4n=78

To find n we divide by 4 both sides

78 is not divisible by 4 so n is not a whole number

n can not be a fraction

75 is not a term of the sequence
