Given the expression 11 to the second power over 1,331. Part A: Explain how the Quotient of Powers was used to simplify the expression. Part B: Simplify the expression.

Here the expression is 11 to the second power over 1331 .

Which can be expressed as


(11^2)/(1331)

And 1331 is the cube of 11, that is


(11^2)/(11^3)

In case of division , we have to use quotient rule and subtract the powers, that is


11^(2-3) = 11^(-1)

Now we need to make the power positive and for that we have to flip the term. That is


(1)/(11)
