The cubic function is
f(x)=x^3-x^2-10x-8

Find the point at x=0,

Replace the variable x with 0 in f(x),

f(0)=0^3-0^2-10(0)-8=-8

Find the point at x=1,

Replace the variable x with 1 in f(x),

f(1)=1^3-1^2-10(1)-8=1-1-10-8=-18 \\ y=-18

Find the point at x=-1,

Replace the variable x with -1 in f(x):

f(-1)=(-1)^3-(-1)^2-10(-1)-8\\ =-1-1+10-8=0\\ y=0

Find the point at x=3,

REplace the variable x with 3 in f(x):

f(3)=3^3-3^2-10*3-8=-20

Similarly find few more points of this function:

f(-2)=0

f(2)=-24

f(5)=42

Now the cubic function
f(x)=x^3-x^2-10x-8 using the following points

x: -5 -1 0 1 2 3 5

y: - 108 0 -8 -18 -24 -20 42

Using this points now graph the function,

Which of the following graphs represents the function f(x) = x3 − x2 − 10x − 8?-example-1
