The slope-point formula:

y-y_1=m(x-x_1)\\\\m=(y_2-y_1)/(x_2-x_1)

We have:

(1,\ 0.6)\to x_1=1,\ y_1=0.6\\(-1,\ -1)\to x_2=-1,\ y_2=-1

Substitute:

m=(-1-0.6)/(-1-1)=(-1.6)/(-2)=0.8\\\\y-0.6=0.8(x-1)\\\\y-0.6=0.8x-0.8\ \ \ |+0.6\\\\y=0.8x-0.2

Answer: y = 0.8x - 0.2
