Garland performed the following construction. Step 1: Draw an angle. Label the vertex B. Step 2: Place the tip of the compass at point B. Draw an arc that intersects both rays. Step 3: Label the points of intersection between the rays and the arcs, A and C, respectively. Step 4: Draw segment AC. Which type of triangle did Garland draw?

I believe its isosceles but im not 100% sure. Try drawing it out yourself and maybe it can help you.

I'm pretty sure that Garland drew an isosceles triangle. Because points A and C are an equal distance away from the vertex B. And the definition of an isosceles triangle is to have two sides that are equal in length.
